La Croix is a restored barn for 7 people, with private 8x4 heated swimming pool (no additional cost). Located on the plateau of a hill 220 meters high, you have a superb location and magnificent view, not overlooked. An 18-hole golf course is located at the bottom of the hill with many tourist activities, castles, caves, beautiful villages, many marked hiking trails all around, canoeing, etc. The house is handcrafted in stone. The 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor with a large bathroom (separate shower and bath), as well as another smaller one with shower and sink. Bedroom 1 and 2 with 1 double bed, bedroom 3 with 1 double bed and 1 single bed (+2 umbrella beds). Upstairs you have a single large room with open kitchen (large fridge-freezer / dishwasher), the living room with 2 sofas and 2 armchairs or 7 seats. Upstairs you can access a small terrace on the south side for lunch (a stone staircase takes you from the outside), and a large balcony on the west side for grilling and meals, table with 8 chairs, superb viewpoint over the valley above the meadows (place of passage for hot air balloons). In the small barn or laundry room you will find everything you need for the pool, a pingpong table, pétanque balls, as well as a washing machine and a sink (2 WCs in the house). Kitchen table with 6 chairs plus 2 others. New gas barbecue. 1600m2 of land above the pool for playing. (20 minutes from Château des Milandes, La Roque Gageac, 30 minutes from Sarlat, from Château de Castelnaud la Chapelle (hot air balloon departure), Caves, Dordogne for Canoeing, Bournat park etc… ..

Summary: Our hosts really were amazing as our plane was greatly delayed and instead of arriving around 5.30pm, we finally arrived at 10.20pm! They were waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome, explained everything and handed over the keys. We felt so sorry for them as they then had a 2 1/2 hour drive back to Bordeaux. The house was impeccably clean, very well equipped and comfortable. There were lovely views over fields and the valley, it was very quiet and peaceful. Our hosts, Claude and Lydie, came on time to see us off, and we’re very charming.

Summary: An excellent and beautiful property. Location superb, house and amenities well thought out. Lovely sheltered, sunny pool, I can't fault it. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, answered all my questions and even booked a restaurant for us for our first night. I would love to stay there again and cant recommend it highly enough.

Summary: We loved our stay here at this lovely property, situated on the outskirts of a quiet and picturesque village. So peaceful with two balconies to appreciate the wonderful views across the valley. The house was well equipped with everything we needed; great BBQ and the pool is fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by Lydie & Claude who gave us a full run down of the facilities. Due to its relatively remote location a car is a must but many attractions can be reached within 30 minutes while there is a supermarket within 10 minutes drive. We particularly enjoyed canoeing on the Dordogne and visiting various chateau's and gardens nearby. There are also some lovely walks directly from the house, steep in sections but very rewarding. Thanks Lydie & Claude, we had a great time!

Summary: The Gite is impeccably well presented, very clean with all the utensils you need for a family or couples holiday. The pool is an ideal size, warm and maintained 2/3 times a week. All the main attractions for the Dordogne are within easy reach of the Gite. Having 2 balconies for meals allows you to enjoy the best of the weather throughout the day with pool view or stunning views across the valleys, Pre holiday the hosts are very helpful with enquiries and could not have been better when gretting us on our arrival. Thoroughly recommended

Summary: We spent two weeks here and it was amazing. The hosts were so accommodating and welcoming. Communication was excellent during the booking process and our arrival and stay. The house is large and very well equipped. The upstairs living area is airy and allows for open plan living. The two verandas mean you can make the most of the sun or the shade. The pool was a hit with every member of our family from the kids to granny. There was ample off road parking for our large van. The location was perfect. It was rural enough to allow for complete peace but close enough to the various attractions of the Dordogne without having to travel far. We hope to return!
